Corporate and chartered aircraft arrive in numbers at Gladstone

It was a busier day than normal at Gladstone Airport on Thursday, March 03, with an Australia Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas (APLNG) meeting (reportedly to celebrate the completion of the first APLNG $20 billion gas plant on Curtis Island) bringing a number of corporate and chartered aircraft, large and small, to the port city for the occasion.

Among the extra movements to descend upon Gladstone included Corporate Air SAAB 340B+ (WT) VH-VEF,  Queensland State Government Beechcraft B350 Super King Air VH-SGQ, Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800 VH-YFR and Virgin Australia ATR 72-500 VH-FVX, which all arrived from Brisbane in close succession about mid-morning.

Meanwhile, Queensland State Government Raytheon Hawker 850XP VH-SGY made a late afternoon arrival at Gladstone from Brisbane via Mackay for an overnight stay on Wednesday, March 02.
