Warm and humid conditions failed to deter onlookers, aviation enthusiasts and planespotters making an early morning drive to Rockhampton Airport on Sunday, November 13, to watch Antonov Airlines (Antonov Design Bureau) AN-124-100 UR-82007 touch down at the beef capital from Senai Int'l Airport, Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
The second visit (of three) to Rockhampton in less than a week by UR-82007 will see the mammoth international cargo transporter be loaded with two of four Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Boeing CH-47SD Chinook helicopters waiting to be ferried home to Paya Lebar Air Base, Singapore, after a lengthy stay in Central Queensland for 'Exercise Wallaby 2016'.
When loading is complete and cargo secured, UR-82007 will be prepared for a late evening departure to Singapore, but expected to return for the third and final visit at 8.00am on Thursday, November 17.
If by chance you missed our previous post about UR-82007 visiting Rockhampton for the first time only a few days ago, here it is again :
