Continuing our coverage of the action at 'Old Station Fly-in & Heritage Show 2017' held at Old Station Farm, Raglan, Central Queensland at the weekend, this post is dedicated to the Saturday afternoon aerobatic display that commenced at approx 3.30pm (half-hour late), and did not conclude until dusk, some two hours later.
Unfortunately, many of our 'airshow' photo's did not turn-out as well as anticipated, however, have published the limited number of images that did.
Getting the airshow underway was a parachute jumper putting on a modest display while descending upon the airfield with an Australian flag attached, and this was coupled with the playing of the Australian National Anthem over the PA / broadcast system.
Moments later, the aerobatics began with a number of aircraft participating in the highly entertaining event, and among the action was Paul Bennet Airshows Wolf Pitts Pro VH-PVB, Pitts Model 12 VH-PYJ and Grumman American Aviation Corp TBM-3E Avenger VH-MML, Warbird Aviation North American Aviation Corp T-28D-5 Trojan VH-TRO and Yakovlev Yak-52 VH-YNO, R-Mach Aviation PZL-Mielec M-18B Dromader VH-MDR, Inverted Downunder / Matt Hall Racing Extra EA300L VH-IOG, McDermott Aviation Bell 214B-1 VH-SUH, and last but not least, the RAAF Roulettes aerobatic display team.
For information, photo's featuring the RAAF Roulettes have been published in a separate post, and if you missed our coverage, here is the link again :
