Full rebuild of Britten-Norman Islander VH-OBJ almost complete

Regular visitors to Air Queensland.blogspot will understand we have been following the full strip and rebuild of ex-Alligator Airways (NT) Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-21 Islander VH-OBJ by Maryborough Aviation Services (MAS) before being delivered to it's new owner, a Vanuatu based airline.

The restoration of VH-OBJ has been a lengthy process however the task is almost complete, only a few minor jobs and some fine tuning remain before the necessary airworthy process is undertaken.

While attending the inaugural Fraser Coast Fly-in at Maryborough Airport recently, I took an opportunity to take another look at VH-OBJ and was impressed with the immaculate condition the aircraft has been restored too, a credit to Maryborough Aviation Services.

Of interest, Maryborough Aviation Services provides a comprehensive range of aircraft maintenance and refurbishment services including repainting of aircraft, upholstrey renewal / retrim, avionics upgrades as well as pre-purchase and end-of-lease inspections to name only a few.

Air Queensland.blogspot would like to sincerely thank David G of Maryborough Aviation Services for allowing us to take another look at the ongoing restoration of VH-OBJ.
