Exercise Hamel / Talisman Saber 2015 - Australian Army Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopters

Phil Munsel Photography has been enjoying his time in recent weeks observing the movements of various military aircraft and helicopters coming and going at Rockhampton Airport in support of Exercise Hamel and Talisman Saber 2015 at nearby Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

In this post, we share a number of images depicting Australian Army Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopters Phil has been fortunate to capture at the beef capital.

Of interest, it is worth noting the Australian Army recently began taking delivery of seven new build Boeing CH-47F Chinook helicopters to replace the aged "D" models as featured below.
