Our coverage of Exercise Hamel / Talisman Saber 2015 continues and again, we share more photo's by Phil Munsel Photography captured at Rockhampton Airport over the past couple of weeks or so.
On an occasion while partially under covers and resting peacefully between sorties, Phil took advantage of an opportunity to take a closer look at Australian Army Aviation ARH Tiger A38-013. To the best of my knowledge, I believe upto five ARH Tigers participated in this years military exercise at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).
Based on an European design designated EC-665, the Australian Army operates 22 twin-engined, ARH Tigers with 5 units reportedly attached to a unit at Oakey Army Aviation Centre, Oakey, Queensland for training purposes while remaining platforms are based at Robertson Barracks, Darwin, Northern Territory as operational units.
