State of Queensland aircraft touch down at Gladstone

The first Queensland Government Community Cabinet for 2016 held at the Central Queensland city of Gladstone at the weekend, was supported by two State of Queensland aircraft in the form of Cessna 208 Caravan VH-PSQ and Raytheon Hawker 850XP VH-SGY.

First to arrive at Gladstone was VH-PSQ which touched down from Mackay on Saturday, January 30 after conducting (presumably) air surveillance above the local area. The Cessna is noted to have conducted additional airwork the following day. Of interest, VH-PSQ is fitted with surveillance (camera) equipment in the cargo pod under the aircraft.

With Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and a small number of cabinet onboard, Raytheon Hawker 850XP VH-SGY touched down at Gladstone from Brisbane on Sunday, January 31 and after the conclusion of the Community Cabinet and other commitments, departed to Mackay on Monday, February 01.
