Bundaberg planespotter Micah S has forwarded some wonderful photo's of Fastjet Adventure Flights Aero Vodochody L-39C Albatross VH-NLD.
It is reported VH-NLD touched down at the rum city from Shute Harbour / Whitsunday Airport on Saturday, August 08, and at the time of writing, remains positioned at Bundaberg.
Unfortunately, it remains unsure wether the L-39C Albatross is scheduled to be at Bundy for a particular reason or if the aircraft has become unserviceable.
Although Fastjet Adventure Flights is a Bathurst, NSW based company, VH-NLD has been operating out-of Shute Harbour / Whitsunday Airport since late 2014.
Of interest, the L-39 Albatross was developed in Czechoslovakia during the 1960's as a high performance jet trainer and remains in production to this day. Manufactured in 1981 and powered by a single Ivchenko Engines AI-25TL turbofan, VH-NLD first appeared on the Australian register in 2007.
