Maroochydore / Sunshine Coast based McDermott Aviation / Machjet Pty Ltd  Aerospatiale AS.355F1 Squirrel VH-HRU made a brief refuelling stop at Gladstone on Thursday, May 07.

Unfortunately, detail about the activity of this neatly presented chopper is unknown.

Manufactured in 1982, VH-HRU is powered by a single Allison Gas Turbine 250-C20F turboshaft engine.

Note the "Rural Fire Service Queensland" title along the upper section of the tail boom.

Meanwhile, Handel Aviation / Acena Nominess Cessna 210N VH-TEY also popped into Gladstone Airport to take onboard fuel while reportedly conducting survey work in the area.
