Exercise Hamel / Talisman Saber 2015 - photo's by Ash Burggraaff

With Talisman Saber 2015  inconjunction with Exercise Hamel well and truly underway, Rockhampton planespotter Ash Burggraaff has been venturing to the airport when time allows and capturing some of the military movements as they come and go at a steady pace.

Although traffic is notably less at Rockhampton compared to previous years, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) BAe Hawk 127's and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Heron's aswell as Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A Blackhawk and MRH-90 helicopters regularly transit between Rockhampton and the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) providing local planespotters plenty of opportunity to take a great photo or two.

Featured in this post are some of the more recent movements sighted by Ash Burggraaff.
