Australian International Air Show 2015 - Multi-Role Helicopter (MRH90) Taipan

To replace the Australian Army Aviation's (AAAvn) aged Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk choppers and the Westland Mk50 Seakings that served the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for over 30 years, Australian Aerospace at Brisbane Airport is currently assembling 42 of 46 Multi-Role Helicopter (MRH90) Taipan's for the Commonwealth of Australia. The first 4 MRH90's were manufactured in France.

The MRH90 Taipan is an Australian derivative of the medium sized, twin engined, multi-role military helicopter NHIndustries NH90 that is equally capable of conducting land and maritime / naval operations. Of interest, NHIndustries is a joint feature between Airbus Helicopters, Agusta Westland and Fokker Aerostructures.

Meanwhile, also sighted at the Australian International Air Show 2015 was Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Aerospatiale AS-332M1 Super Puma '276'.
