Upon retirement of the de Havilland DHC-4 Caribou fleet from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in 2009 after providing outstanding service for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) since the mid 1960's, Illawarra Airport based Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) was fortunate to win the tender for two ex-RAAF machines being that of A4-210 & A4-234 which ironically are both ex-Vietnam Veterans.
Maintained in an immaculate and airworthy condition, ex-A4-210 & A4-234 are regarded as flying memorials to all Australian Service personnel who served in the Vietnam War and was a pleasure to sight "234" performing as a static and aerial display platform at the Australian International Air Show 2015.
